Lisbon 2008

I only spent 1 full day in Lisbon. Well it is too short. But I had no choice. I planned to spend 2 days and 2 nights there. But the stupid VUELING AIRLINES!!!! Remember tis, VUELING AIRLINES. Remember VUELING AIRLINES from Spain.

Well we booked a flight from Madrid to Lisbon at 8.40am. An email was sent to us about weeks before the flight that it will be brought forward to 6.40am. This timing sucks. Sort of wasted one night's accommodation in Madrid because we had to be at the airport by 4.40am and the train doesn't operated 24 hrs. Therefore we had to take the last train to the airport = we reached at 12am.

So we waited 4 damned hours. We even self checked in at the automatic counter. So we waited and waited. No signs of which gate the flight will be. So we waited again. Then we realised something must be wrong when it was about 5am. We went to the counter and they told us it was cancelled. Thank you very much Vueling. Thanks for informing way before hand about the cancellation. FUCK!

A few issues here.

1. We received a reminder email of the flight just the night before, kinda makes you think that the flight was still on schedule

2. We were compensated with food vouchers that can be used "anywhere" in the airport, as long as it is partnered with Vueling. We thought we could eat anything we liked, but we were forced into eating others. BAD BAD SERVICE. You are in the wrong Vueling, the only right thing you should do is to please your customers, not just a simple apology email.

3. It destroyed all our plans.

4. Obviously they knew that the flight had been cancelled before hand. So, why not inform the customers about it? There could have been a sign to inform. There could be an announcement. They could email. They could call!!! WHY THE FUCK DO YOU WANT OUR CONTACT NUMBERS WHEN YOU DON'T EVEN USE IT FOR THIS? Obviously, the collection of such personal information is for other purposes, perhaps to sell it to other companies? I'm not sure.

I don't like the service of Vueling. BAD.
This kind of service just makes passengers lose confidence in budget airlines.
Kind of sad though because there are many other better budget airlines around.
So I went to Lisbon, spent only 1 full day there, after being stranded in Madrid for 15 bloody hours, the next flight was at 9.15pm. Happened that I was in Lisbon on a Sunday. Most shops are closed. Not very exciting. But Lisbon is a beautiful city =)

Alright. It has been some time now. Sorry for the delay. Been playing so much, and of course planning too. Alright, I'm sure you're now wondering what next. Ya, I know you miss me. Next up, my trip to Granada, right after Barcelona.

Granada is a nice little place full of orange trees, and I really mean orange trees. When I first read "Let's Go Europe", I thought when they said orange trees lining the streets, they meant orange-coloured trees. When I'm there, I saw the real oranges right on the trees. Well, it was also very hot. The summer in Spain is INSANE. Nice rhyme huh?

So much so that the shops close in the afternoon, something like closed from 2pm to 5pm. That's bloody ridiculous. Then where do the tourists go? It's like wtf??? You expect me to go sunbathe in the bloody street, smelly the fragrance of the oranges? I'll turn into a roast pig, a real one.

So they expect the tourist to go back to the hotel and sleep. That's what I did. Because its was damn fucking hot, to the point of melting point. Rhyme again.

Such a lively market in the middle of the city in Barcelona. Interesting place. But tmd. We bought this packed fruits at this bloody market for 1 euro, and found out that it was CHAO SNG ONE!!!!! F*CK! too bad. next time if anyone goes here, please check to see if the fruits have turned bad. They sell it at 1 euro simply cos it has been there for the better part of the day.

Nice candies. It makes the market so colourful. I just love the colours. I'm sure you love it too.

Luggage dragging first day in Copenhagen

We arrived on the 24th of July. Okok, I know it's a bit back dated, but better than nothing right?
Been busy enjoying myself here man. Yup as I said, I arrived here on the 24th, but i flew off to have fun in Spain, Portugal and Italy before coming back for the Danish Crash course on the 18 of August. I will post the trip photos later on.

Now you may ask, why the F*ck did I learn Danish. 1st, it could let me clear a freaking module in 5 days. Only a fool would not want that, RIGHT? FOOL! 2nd, after I went for the class, I made a few friends, which I definitely will keep fora long time. Real, true, sincere friends. More about that later!

Ok dudes, I miss you guys back home and I have not forgotten you guys. Yes, you! Reading my blog right now. I know you miss me too. Whoever doesn't read my blog, too bad. Since you don't miss me, I don't miss you too.

I miss my family too, turning a bit emo now. Yes, but I'm enjoying my time here as well at the same time. Mixed feelings man. Alright a few photos on the first day I reach.

Gotta lug those heavy luggage (about 90kg in total) with Clara to school. But worth it, cos we didn't need to pay for any luggage deposit anywhere. The International Office in Copenhagen Business School allowed us to leave our luggage there. Nice, really nice people in Denmark, and the International Office. You just have to pretend to look lost on the streets (or just accidentally), some stranger will ask you if you need help. Well, so far I've met 3 Danish like that, and all 3 occassions I didn't need help. And in 24 freaking years in Singapore, NO SINGLE ONE asked if I needed help with directions, especially when I needed it. Well, we still have a long way to go man.

The Danes are really freindly and helpful people, generally. Of course, if you want trouble, you can find it. But it is a safe place here, that's one reason why I love this place.

Oh, digress again, as I was saying, the luggage were no joke. We sort of lost our way, going to the International Office and were lugging the luggage aimlessly, until someone showed us how to get to the Int Office. After that, my arms were almost gone.

But all worth it. We went to Barcelona the next day. Alright. Tired liao, will post again. Had this birthday gathering last week with Seppi, an Austrian I knew here. More about that, and cooking to share. Laters!

Gotta thank dear Wan Shan as well for helping us with accommodation. Without her help, we wouldn't have been able to find a place so soon at Kasper's place. Kasper coincidentally went to Singapore for his exchange. =)

finally finish liao...
everyday in school pia study...pia until now i also peng already...feel very lethargic...wanna play also no ENERGY...but at least i've gotten rid of some TENSION...but i still dun like 5566...i prefer 五月天 and 南拳妈妈...
finish...dunno wat to do...went for steamboat at amsmelia's house with my class ppl...like no mood like that...i think i'm just pretty exhausted liao that's why...then play mahjong...check comms results...vagen's got A-...i'm quite happy liao la...not too bad...i was expected a B..so i'm satisfied..but that clara also got A-..i dunno how come la...weird...susheela a bit off la...obviously she did betta than me but the grade same...funny...my class gang did pretty ok...so no one's exceptionally unhappy...

IT'S ALL smu runABOUT WINNING

wah seh...that dzarrin...kuku bird...dunno why that time ask me wanna join smu runabout, like as if i some top runner..but nvm..smu runabout is an event organised by either the track team or the runteam in smu..it's a relay of 5 runners, each running 850m...

back to the story, that dzarrin ask me if i was interested in running with him, he said he got a team..so i said,'ok why not? but i very slow'...i forgot wat his reply was la...but that doesn't really matter..i havent been running for like 7months counting...fitness like f**k...even the soccer team coach's 12-yr old daughter should be able to beat me flat in 2.4...

so then, floorball ask me to run...i pang seh them...email me so many times i also refuse to reply...lol...but that's cos i've always thought i was in DZARRIN's team...so whichever he chooses to run for...i RUN for...but then it wasn't so simple...not that i'm complaining anyway..soccer also asked me to run...then i asked dzarrin...then i also dunno wat happened..i told alvin i running for open cat...

so then one day...a girl called ELAYNE...sms-ed me...'hey we're supposed to run together for the runabout' or sth like that...then i was...erm OK! then when i met her for the registering, and passing her the money, i realised to my utmost HORROR...dzarrin is not running...got wat LTB meeting...KNN!!! bluff me money until like that...last minute tell me he not running...the worst thing is not he tell me...it's elayne the chiobu tell me one...wah how can??? like that how can??? not that i'm not honoured that a chiobu told me that...but it's brother pang seh me like that....wat kind of brother???? can you please be sensitive? i got feelings one leh...kns...but nvm, i was quite gian of running also...BUT I KNEW NO ONE FROM MY TEAM...no oNe

the day b4 the runnabout, i was thinking to myself..wah siao...i dunno anyone from my team...except for elayne the chiobu, whom i know has been running all this while...i knew absolutely nothing about anyone else in my team...i think and think...WTF!? later they also like me...fitness gone Fu*k one then how??? then cannot win shit....so then i tell myself nvm...win the other award...best supported team...or most creative team...or best dressed...wah also very difficult...siao siao siao...so i gathered all my frens...msn tell them..come down support me...show me you're my true fren....THEN...kns...i realised how many true frens i truly have....*hai*...not many...not few...just nice haha...then that boon seer don't want come down support me...i think she paiseh to let ppl know she knows me...how sad...she gave me flower...nice nice one...yellow colour one...sth like sunflower..but i dun think is sunflower..i wanted to use the flower la...to run with the flower...in the hand or in the mouth...

so the day itself i finally met my teammates...first is kelvin...then is chow...then is xiayue...wah so many ac kias...elayne the chiobu, xiayue and chow all ac kias...nvm...elayne running shirt very nice la..orange(my fav colour) and pink...and mostly white...i tell you if i were a girl i sure buy that shirt one..too bad la...then that kelvin wear that army shirt...wah i covered my face and shook my head...nvm...ok i wore the vj running attire..i tell them i very scared..they asked me relax...i drink redbull, they asked me relax...then when i really relax..they screw me...one by one run so fast...kns...all them run damn fast la...chow pass to kelvin...chased from 5th to 2nd...crazy ryt? then the elayne the chiobu also running siao one...so fast...even beat joann the other chiobu...how zai?? then pass to xiayue is the worst one...come back 1sT with a super big lead...like 50m...then i kena stunned when he come back...i was talking cock talking cock...when i hear ppl 'XIAYUE XIAYUE' then must elayne the chiobu...push me out with her cold hands (still ask me dun gan cheong, she gan cheong until the hand cold liao) then i came out...kept shouting for the baton..to make sure he knew where i was...last time coach teach me one...in case he seh seh...then must wake him up..but i look at him like not seh..i think he really superman...so then i take the baton...you know how scared i was? VERY...cos they all run so fast..i cannot let them down mah...so i run and run and run...but dun dare run too fast scared i lose all my energy...and dun dare look back...cos i dun wanna slow down...then ok nvm...i run run run...slippery floor...i ran past serene the other other chiobu...wanted to say hi...but i cannot...cannot let down my teammates...sigh...wasted...so i ran past...thinking of only elayne the chiobu, kelvin the army boy, xiayue from team china and chow the chow yun fatt...then i sharp turn that time...i scared fall down..but i still look...ey? where the guy behind? wah...i tell you..the lead xiayue gave me was freaking big!!! then i dun care liao...just run until finish...went down the steps...one by one...like gu niang like that...sigh...but the last stretch i pia all the way...i hear ppl shout vagen vagen...but i dun care dun look at anyone...just pia finish...then i stun when i saw the red tape...cos i still not sure if we in front ma...but then we won la...lucky i never listen to elayne the chiobu...dunno why put me last runner make me so scared...she say if we come back 1st, i run pass and take off my shirt...KEE-SIAO!!!! to my team they will think it's funny...but to the whole school they'll think i xialan...heng i nv take off...YAY!!! we won.....wah seh...power

amazing hor? a team brought together in such a weird way...dzarrin got me chow and elayne...then dzarrin he that COCK...dun say him liao in the end run for floorball...but then he still got ltb meeting...in the end..dzar nv run..elayne got xiayue and chow got kelvin...then i got no one...but then we all had such great fun and run such a great race...

i will nv regret running this with these ppl...they say relax relax...but i know deep down inside...they're ppl who'd put in their best in whatever they do..or at least for the passion of running...

i thought of giving up running when i came uni...but now...these ppl and this race has reignited my passion for running again...i feel like joining IVP...i feel like training for 400m all over again...i wanna run again...i want to...oh btw did i say elayne's name is very special? like i've always known the name to be spelt e-l-a-i-n-e...

we won ourselves 400 sportslink voucher...not bad...each person got 80..and a gold medal...haha before the race kelvin was joking to me...he said...that is for us...pointing to the gold medals...haha indeed..it became ours...i dun think it's some tyco thing...i feel a strong passion in this team...CHOW GUANREN's team...haha...thanks to you guys...chow, xiayue, elayne and kelvin...not only for winning this, also for allowing me to have a great time...and also thank you guys...for lighting up the fire in me again...i just can't run away from it...i love running...(no pun intended...YA RIGHT!! hahahaha).....

we started off from east coast...we jio-ed all our sports camp grp ppl to go together...all say until very on...don't pay just chup in..in the end also pang seh...i dun wanna name names cos if i name names, names will be used and ppl whose names are named wont be happy...but afterall the ppl whose names i wont name are still our sports camp grp 15!

our grp leaders were CAKE and LIJEN...nice ppl..but that cake keep making her point that i talk a lot...ey i wish she could think with her brains...the grp cycle cycle until so tired...i use my extra energy to talk cock to make ppl luff...so that ppl wont fall asleep...still say i talk to much...i really don't understand how come ppl can study study until university liao still cannot look at the bigger picture one...just look at the things right in front of them...things beyond their outstretched arms...they cannot see liao...should get specs ok?? sigh if not you only see yourself...how sad...how self-centred..if you dun know this yet...noise can wake ppl up! talking cock can wake ppl up! laughter can wake ppl up and keep them going! 3rd stop...we go there pay game...not bad la..still got chocolate to eat...but then the gamemaster, quite cute girl...sweet and decent looking...she looked so sad..dunno why..must be some idiot go disturb her...i wanna make her smile but i shy..so i just take the chocolate eat liao then let's go...

4th stop..al-ameen there...we go there no one wanna order food...kuku one...go all the way until there then dun eat...then go there for wat? waste time only...at that time everyone seh seh liao...wanna sleep liao...aiyah..then we left...

5th stop kent ridge park...wah this is the killer slope...at first go into 99 bends very shiok...everyone no need pedal...just cruise...again like initial d like that...wah very nice one...no car one...then come the killer...we go down so long...of cos we have to go up also...then we go up all the way sia...the slope like 40 degrees one...wah piang oei...walk up also tired...dun say cycle...on the way up i see one car going up...ey how come only one guy inside? siao ah come this kind place come alone...crazy not? then nvm...we continue go up...finally reach...tired like siao already...haha then i found the car with the one guy one...actually is got another girl inside also...lying down tts why earlier nv see...i think he see us go up the slope he also sian half...or totally liao...ppl wanna go up there hanky panky...ah...then we go disturb disturb...second time liao ah...later ppl breakup then how? but then also good...at least we down there...they confirm wont get aids...unless they kee siao dun care our presence la...

6th last stop at west coast...reach there...all die liao...no no...dying but not dead...then all just wanna go home...my sports camp grp...for the 1st time...for the record..we didn't win anything..haha..nvm

that day i went to tioman for diving trip with smux...long long time i wanted to go diving liao...from that time super onz with JJ (not the singer), say wanna go wanna go until ord until go europe until go orientation camps until start school until i go with smu dive team...also haven't organise...super slack...

so one sunday i go for the pool session..hoping to see chiobus...hoping that chiobus got go this diving trip...then suay suay..i realised that my group consisted of many many guys...group2...i was cursing to myself...am i always that unlucky...it apparently wasn't so...i had no idea wat was ahead of me was a hell of a good time!...members of the action-packed crew were lemuel, shannon, gavin, ian, lawrence matthew and me!...

lawrence had gavin as his dive buddy, shannon had matthew (the commandos pair), i had ian (curse and swear by both parties), and lemuel...omg he's THE MAN!!! he had two GIRLS!!!!! as his BUDDIES! how happy? joyce and jessica. wah tell you, it was freaking funny, that IAN, he played with the secondary regulator once he was equipped and in the water...his comment,' this is fun!' WAH LAN EY!!!! i felt damn safe la!!! then after that, lawrence turn to feel unsafe...gavin asked how long we thought the dives each will last...answers were along the line of 45mins-1hr...then gavin said,'someone told me the tank lasts one week' wah we laughed until peng...inside water still laughing...........then we decieded to go zion road hawker and hor lan hor lan until we went tiong bahru hawker instead...damn funny...we realised we were the ah peks at the hawker lim kopi kiao kar...damn sad...while ppl sian girls...we down there lim kopi and kiao kar...damn funny

tell you...that day i go the jb..permas jaya there to play the go-kart...very excited..first time drive in to jb...cos i join the motor inc event la...the go-kart one...then they say space limited..if want confirm..must drive...so then we drove to school park outside the library (i still dunno wat name...seems like i dun care much)...convoy parking...QUITE SEH right??? cool huh??? but then i very paiseh...ppl's car wat evo 7 subaru WRX...huh..then if it's getz it's tiong tiong one..paste sticker paste until nice nice...inside change until car fast fast...i park there also sian...people step half accelerator...i floor...they still make me smell backside...how sian? wat to do...i only one mitsubishi lancer..but i call it my mitsubishi rx-8...swee?? swee!!! wah then drive there a bit tiring...but lucky nv hor lan...

i play one round go-kart...wah i feel like initial-d like that...what take on the corner...no fear just whack the pedal...wah heng i nv spin...i see other ppl like tornado like that...very funny! then i think i very fast...so i join the competition...but b4 that i join the mini bike...cos it sounded fun...so i went on the bike...the bike is so small...it's lower than my knee ht ( the level which skirts never reach nowadays hahaha)... at first like very fun...wah i can balance..not so difficult after all..then i went faster...and faster...and faster...UNTIL...wah so fast that i cannot change into my superman costume b4 i became superman...i FLEW off the bike...1st time is ok...nothing wrong...then i go again...and fly again like flying is for free ( this is real budget airline)...haha then i bled quite a lot...i thought got super deep cut or wat...so i stopped...cleaned my wound and found out only a cut..not very deep...but bled quite a lot...and i got lotsa scratches and i think i fell on my shoulder...cos now it hurts...biking is dangerous...sigh..so they took out my name for the competition..otherwise i will show them who's the king on the track ( haha i talk cock only...maybe i go in i again become smell ppl backside....BUT MAYBE I MIGHT NOT)

Many people have told this me when they saw my brother, Ragen, "Vagen!!! What happened to you?" tsk..i simply laugh it off even though it really hurts inside me...(haha)

Ragen is a tall lanky young man who has a burning passion for soccer be it watching it, playing it, playing it on xbox, ps2.......you name it, he does it. winning eleven, we're evenly matched...equally POWER, but when others challenge us, they always walk away heads down, dragging their feet after humiliating losses...so please...don't make a fool out of yourself by challenging us ok?? hahaha..He's a wonderful soccer player...of course if coupled up with me, we'll become the deadliest strikeforce in the world...unfortunately he plays for Manchester United (he thinks he's chrstiano ronaldo) and i play for Arsenal (i think i am thierry henry).

He loves playing dota also, just like me but i dun think he can beat me...cos i'm bloody beyond GOD-like. he's at most at killing spree. hahahaha. (he's so gonna disagree with me)

mY little baby brother is a sensitive young man(like me)...shy (like me) ...cute (even more like me) .. (ok don't start puking now) ...and smart (also quite like me) . He can go Europe for 3 weeks just before his JC1 mid yr and only fail one subject for that exam...Don't you think he's HOLY SHIT!? i think he's plain MadNess...
