ENGLISH LESSON 3
ok here's another lesson courtesy of me.
limelight- the light that emits out of a special type of lime ( scientific name: ilumilime). some say ilumilime can even create electricity and is predicted to be the future source of energy. there is no concrete proof yet but scientists are working 24/7 to prove this potentially ground-breaking discovery.
spotlight- a game which bored students play. they try to find the light source of any illuminated area pointed out by the opponent. spotlight is also a store which sells crap!
blight- some say this is a jargon of warcraft, they are wrong! it is the broken english way to pronounce BRIGHT.
bright- means right and to the back...Back RIGHT...
slight- a little light..not very bright. (s= small)
mlight- medium brightness
llight- very bright
xllight- blinding brightness
ok enough crap...
limelight- A focus of public attention
spotlight- 1a. A strong beam of light that illuminates only a small area, used especially to center attention on a stage performer.
1b. A lamp that produces such a light.
2.Public notoriety or prominence: She was in the spotlight after she won the marathon.
3.An artificial source of light with a strongly focused beam, as on an automobile.
blight- 1a. Any of numerous plant diseases resulting in sudden conspicuous wilting and dying of affected parts, especially young, growing tissues.
1b. The condition or causative agent, such as a bacterium, fungus, or virus, that results in blight.
2. An extremely adverse environmental condition, such as air pollution.
3. Something that impairs growth, withers hopes and ambitions, or impedes progress and prosperity.
bright- 1a. Emitting or reflecting light readily or in large amounts; shining.
1b. Comparatively high on the scale of brightness.
1c. Full of light or illumination: a bright sunny day; a stage bright with spotlights.
2. Characterizing a dyestuff that produces a highly saturated color; brilliant.
3. Glorious; splendid: one of the bright stars of stage and screen; a bright moment in history.
4. Full of promise and hope; auspicious: had a bright future in publishing.
5. Happy; cheerful: bright faces.
6. Animatedly clever; intelligent.
7. High and clear: the bright sound of the trumpet section.

ENGLISH LESSON 2
sad- Sit And Die...a feeling that makes you wanna sit and wait till you die.
depressed- the feeling of being pressed on...you'll fee like a button

ENGLISH LESSON 1
ok, shuhui complained that i need to update my blog...so here it is
today, i'm going to start a small series of english lessons...to clear some of your doubts regarding some REALLY difficult words...
we'll start with
antiCIPation: this specifically refers only to students like SMU students who are required to do community work throughout their course in SMU. a negative expectation for community work. derived from anti-CIP.
emanCIPation: freeing the SMU student from the need to do community work. or being freed for having completed 80hrs of community work.
alright, my lesson for today is done...
okok i was talking crap...now for the actual meanings of the words...
anticipation: pleasurable expectation
emancipation: freeing someone from the control of another; especially a parent's relinquishing authority and control over a minor child
